A refined writing desk scene with a tropical feel, featuring a dark teak desk with a slim open leather-bound notebook at its center, filled with faint illegible markings. A sleek black fountain pen rests diagonally across the page beside delicate tortoiseshell reading glasses. In the background, lush tropical monstera and palm fronds frame the scene, with soft afternoon light filtering through plantation shutters. A small orchid in a ceramic pot sits in the corner. Photographic realism, shallow depth of field, warm golden-green tones, sophisticated literary atmosphere with a Southeast Asian tropical ambiance.

About

Meet the author

Lurenda Suplido thought she would finish writing a novel before she turned thirty, which seemed a long time when she was twenty. Now that she’s almost sixty, it’s time to reorder priorities and get this done.

A polished novel showcase arrangement on a minimalist dark wood shelf with a tropical ambiance. Three upright hardcover books with matte dust jackets in deep jungle green, earthy terracotta, and charcoal gray suggest different titles. Each book has an abstract photographic cover motif — softly blurred tropical leaves, a misty Philippine shoreline, and overlapping pages — without any readable text. A trailing pothos plant in a ceramic pot, a small carved wooden figurine with Southeast Asian style, and a few smooth river stones add texture. Soft diffused natural light from the left creates gentle highlights. Photographic realism, clean lines, sophisticated and serene mood.
